Children sold as slaves in Costa Rica

Thank you so much for visiting UK Greek IV to learn more about how greeks at UK are partnering with VIVA to care for at-risk children around the world. VIVA works to change the lives of vulnerable children by strengthening every part of the system that cares for them, and helping to engage in proactively combating the issues they face. This September, Greek IV will unite all the greek houses at UK to assure children in Costa Rica at risk of being taken advantage of and sold into slavery will have the opportunity to receive educations instead. Please click on Find a Group and speak with your house representative if you would like to be more involved in this effort, or email us directly.

HML Small Groups on Sundays

I hope school, Bible studies and frat rush are all going well so far. Katie and I have been praying for you! Exciting news - It appears that over 90% of the House Ministry Leaders wanted to do a small group together! Sundays seem to be the best day for everyone so we will start this Sunday, Jan 25th, from 12:30-1:30 at 1108 Fontaine (mine and Katie's house). We will have lunch (if you've not been before my daughter has deathly food allergies so please don't worry about bringing food).
It won't be any planning/business stuff - no taking from you, hopefully just giving in to you. A major theme in prayer requests was consistent/growing relationship with God & being an effective witness - so we will probably do about 15 minutes of actually looking in the Bible at Romans to see what it says.

The Final HML Happy Hour of 2008

Our final HML Happy Hour of the year is this Sunday from 12:30 to 1:30 at 1108 Fontaine. We'll keep it as short as possible because I know you will be preparing for finals. There are some important wrap-up things to go over & decisions to make. It will be much easier to do it on Sunday rather than tracking everyone down individually over finals week. As a bonus, if you were unable to attend the Christmas party last night we'll have pictures of Santa and his helpers available (you may know them). I pray that finals week goes well and you experience the love of Jesus in the midst of it.
